<Traditional Korean Hair Ornaments Project>
Inspired by the elegance of traditional Korean hair ornaments, this series reinterprets the Binyeo and Dwikkoji through a contemporary lens while honouring the craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations. Combining brass with carefully selected natural gemstones, each piece reflects the enduring beauty of traditional Korean decorative arts and the skilled techniques that define them.
Rather than reproducing historical objects, these works seek to create a dialogue between past and present. Traditional forms and materials are reimagined through contemporary craftsmanship, demonstrating how cultural heritage can continue to evolve while retaining its identity. By bringing historical aesthetics into a modern context, the series celebrates craftsmanship as a living tradition—one that connects generations through making, memory, and material.
